A day of quaint placesaces

After a long plane ride, we got to the good stuff.

Our ride is a small Peugot which is a hybrid.  We think the JLV license plate is goid luck.

Dinant is a town along the Meuse River withis iconic onion dimed church.
We walked and lunched along the banks.
The bridge has artistic saxophones to honor resident Adolph Sax.  The citadel is above and in the background
The church was destroyed by invaders several times
The detail of a penitent at the entrance.
At the Citadel, we heard the stories of a few battles with the Germans and others who attacked and burned the town
Great river views.
Dioramas with sound of the battle in 1914.
The view from above the church.
Our cottage stay in the country.  The cows across the street are very vocal.
A nice garden to enjoy the almost 80 degree temperatures and clear skies.
Tomorrow we will be fully rested to explore more!
